Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

The short version. We keep what you type into the app so it can count down your days. We don't sell it, we don't show you ads, and you can delete it. Meal photos are analyzed and then thrown away; only the numbers stay.

Who we are

Death Eventually (“we”, “us”) runs the app at deatheventually.app. Questions or requests: support@deatheventually.app.

What we collect

The app also keeps a copy of your file on your device (browser storage) so it opens quickly and works offline.

Why we use it

To run the app: show your countdown and stats, analyze meals and answer séance questions, sync your file between devices, run Together, manage your subscription, keep the service secure, and stop abuse. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who processes it for us

Each handles data under its own privacy terms, only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your data or your account, it's removed from our database right away and from backups within 30 days. Payment records are kept by our payment providers as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as to object or to complain to a data protection authority. Email us and we'll help.

Children

Death Eventually isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and the database only lets each person reach their own rows. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email if the change matters.
